RMT'S ROLE:
- Engineering and construction of civil and electrical system and substation BOP
- Construction of 15 miles of access roads and crane walk paths and associated WTG crane pads
- Construction of state and county road intersections to accommodate WTG deliveries
- Spread-footer foundations, poured in-place concrete construction with steel reinforcement
- Construction of 69/34.5 kV interconnection station
- Construction of 17 miles of underground 34.5 kV collector system
- Interface coordination between the wind farm and Northwest Electric
- Fiber optics communication and SCADA network
- Tower wiring
- Energization and testing of the collector system and interconnect with the municipal
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Garnered the continuing support and participation of varied landowners, including the Order of Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and the Conception Abbey
- Successfully managed equipment delivery logistics and facility construction throughout the challenging Missouri winter and spring
- Provided ongoing energy, environmental, and
economic benefits:
- Generates enough electricity to power approximately 14,916 homes annually
- Offsets the combustion of approximately 90,720 tons of coal per year, which reduces the equivalent of 68,926 tons of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere annually
- Provides income to local landowners through annual lease payments
