RMT'S ROLE:

• Performed engineering and construction of civil roads and AG/UG electrical system BOP
• Performed rock anchor foundation construction
• Completed erection and in-tower wiring of turbines
• Designed and constructed 69/34.5 kV substation
• Designed and constructed 29 miles of underground 34.5-kV collector system and fiber optic communication system and SCADA network
• Upgraded and improved existing mine roads
• Designed and constructed 16 miles of access roads

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

• First U.S. project for Iberdrola Renewables, Inc. (Locust Ridge I)
• Integrated PPL, PJM, and Iberdrola SCADA systems for monitoring and control from Spain
• Constructed unique rock anchor foundation designs
• Managed very challenging terrain
• Installed very elaborate erosion and sediment system for supporting infrastructure
• Provides ongoing energy, environmental, and economic benefi ts to the local community:
  • Generates enough electricity to power approximately 37,000 homes
  • Offsets the equivalent of 230,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere annually
  • Provides income to local landowners with a turbine site(s) on their property through annual lease payments
  • Provided 120 local area residents jobs for approximately one year
