RMT'S ROLE:
- Engineering design, procurement, and construction of civil system BOP
- Procurement and construction of electrical system
- Construction of access roads, crane walks, crane paths, and associated infrastructure
- Design and construction of foundations
- Construction management of a substation and interconnect switchyard
- Erection and mechanical completion of 80 GE 1.5 SLE wind turbine generators
- Construction of 6,500 SF operations and maintenance buildings
- Construction of fiber optics communication and SCADA network
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Design and construction accommodated wetlands, cultural resources, and federal grasslands
- Crews worked 7 days a week through severe weather conditions to complete the facilities in 5 months
- The facilities were safely completed without a single lost-time accident or recordable incident
- The use of local construction materials and labor helped stimulate the local economy
- With an annual average capacity of 45 to 50 MW, these projects will generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 35,000 homes
