Reliable electric service depends on strong transmission systems. But siting and installing new transmission lines and substations can be very difficult. Obtaining regulatory approvals for transmission projects is complex — often leading to costly delays or transmission projects being rejected outright. WindConnect has installed nearly 400 miles of high voltage transmission lines for wind farms, and successfully completed the first 345 kV interconnect of a wind farm in the United States. Our experience with voltage and volt-am-reactive (VAR) control has resulted in successful wind installations in some of the toughest transmission locations in the United States.

We build the poles, towers, and lines used to move bulk electricity from a generating plant to a substation—adding capacity in response to increasing demand and making electricity more widely available and affordable. Our electrical staff provide line inspection and repair, troubleshooting activities, facilities maintenance, and vegetation management to help ensure the uninterrupted flow of electricity to communities throughout the service area.

WindConnect provide a variety of electric transmission services to get your transmission system sited and installed, while gaining public acceptance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving bottom-line performance:
